Research suggests grief and joy can exist together rather than cancel each other out. Embracing both emotions can ease distress, strengthen resilience, and help turn pain into purpose. When joy is no longer seen as conflicting with grief, healing can feel more complete and deeply human.

End of life Doula Services
What is a end of life doula?
Doulas offer early support for both patients and their families, helping them understand what to anticipate as life comes to a close. They tailor their assistance to meet individual needs.
What can doulas offer that hospice cannot?
It’s not about choosing one over the other. The role of a doula often enhances the team by providing additional time and support focused on family needs. It’s about achieving balance and helping one another. We function as a collective. Hospice delivers expert medical attention and pain relief. Typically, they receive compensation through Medicare and have a limited time allocation for each visit. Doulas work individually to offer personalized support tailored to your non-medical requirements.
Do I require the assistance of a doula?
End-of-life doulas may not be essential in every circumstance. If you have your finances and plans well organized, and you and your family are at ease with the concept of your life coming to an end, then having a doula may not be critical. However, many individuals often lack that sense of peace and reassurance in their lives, and they may require assistance in achieving it.
